El Salvador repeats win against Guadeloupe

TIJUANA, Mexico, July 8, 2010 – El Salvador defeated Guadeloupe in straight sets (25-14, 25-21, 25-17) in an eliminatory match for the 7-10 positions of the NORCECA Women’s Junior Volleyball Championship.

Adriana Flores was the best scorer of El Salvador with 16 points and Madeline Gonzalez contributed 9 points to the winning cause. Yannick Ferbac finished with 11 tallies for Guadeloupe.

“It had been of a great experience for us to participate in a NORCECA event and that was the reason I gave the chance to play to everyone on my team,” Salvadorian Coach Nery Rodriguez said.

“We lacked intensity and we could have served a little bit better,” Guadeloupean Coach Jean-Louis Delag said.
